âl sindiana Boutique Bed & Breakfast is located on the grounds of Villa Maalouf in the town of Kfarkatra in the extraordinary Mannasef mountains of the Shouf district of Lebanon. The property is owned by The Honorable Walid Maalouf & his family. It is managed by a professional team under his leadership. It consists presently of eleven suites or Beyout with an open bar and a restaurant surrounded by fruit trees, grape vines, vegetable gardens and breathtaking scenery.
Villa Maalouf – Ancestral House
The ancestral house was built in 1940 by the family patriarch the late Wadih Massoud Maalouf when he was 17 years old. He built it right next to his late father’s two rooms house. It is the first house in the town to have a cement roof and electrical lighting. It has two very large suites the Ambassador suite and the Matriarch suite. The living and dining areas are common to all our guests. (This facility is not available for rent).
Recently named Villa Maalouf, the ancestral house is situated on a 4000 meters-square property including beautiful private gardens on a cliff overlooking the Mannasef valley. The ancestral house is an old and small Lebanese mountain refuge with spacious gardens and terraces to host you and your family. It provides peaceful surroundings and a relaxing atmosphere. Strolling across the estate you find yourself taken by scenery that completes the serene atmosphere of a place still virgin and fairly unknown.
The town of Kfarkatra
Kfarkatra is a village in the Shouf Mountains of Lebanon. It is 45 kilometers from Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, and 800 meters above sea level. Traveling from Beirut to Kfarkatra you take the Saida costal highway; right after the last exit of the city of Damour; you exit right toward the mountains through the towns of Kfarhim and Deir El-Kamar. Kfarkatra is situated in the beautiful Mannasef area overlooking the Alley Mountains. From Kfarkatra you can see more than 20 villages from Kfarmatta to Sawfar. At night it looks like a velour blanket sprinkling with the light of the villages across embedded with the light of the stars and the moon.
Beyout or suites
Ten are independent standing 30 meter-squared suites or beyout. They stand on a cliff or sheer overlooking the Alley Mountains.

All beyout or suites are spacious inside and have private space outside with a wooden fire pit.
One suite or beyt in Jalel Meedan is 45 meters square, you may enjoy the internal facilities that the others provide plus a balcony.

On the main terrace, the largest facility hosts the reception and arrival office or beytelistakbal; Seven Oaks restaurant; professional kitchen; outdoor OFYR & smoking wooden grills; outdoor and indoor dining areas with beautiful landscaping and excellent food; three conveniently located bathrooms and the communal dining table as well as private small stone tables. Al-Meedan also hosts beytelmouneh a small shop where you can find all homemade grocery by the local residence of Kfarkatra from kabis, mrabayat, asal, zaatar, zaytoun… etc as well as âl sindiana art effects.
